CMBTrades Monthly Financials

MONTH-END ACCOUNTING

Monthly Financial Import & P&L

Upload reports from every place money moved. CMBTrades normalizes them, checks duplicates and internal money movement, links mirrored bank/payment-processor activity, holds uncertain matches for review, and adds only real approved business rows to the ledger.

1. Month setup

Enter the starting numbers for this month. Your bank statements already include your card transactions, so no separate card statement is required.

2. Upload financial reports

Built for eBay, TCGplayer, Facebook, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Stripe, written/manual sales notes, and monthly bank statements. V189 preserves financially meaningful rows unless a replacement is positively verified; ambiguous money goes to Needs Review instead of disappearing. Venmo has only one name-based personal exception: transactions to or from Caitlin Booth are personal. No other sender, recipient, surname, or family-name rule determines whether a Venmo transaction is business activity. A per-source disposition audit shows parsed money, income, review, personal, transfer/mirror, and ignored counts so income cannot silently vanish. Bank-statement PDFs are read as transaction tables so running/current balances and account metadata can never become fake income or expenses. USAA account nicknames/numbers are read from the statement header so Purchasing / Inventory, Business Deposit / Operations, 3D Printing, and Business Savings can be identified automatically and used to confirm internal transfers. 100%-certain ignored bank income/transfers stay out of the normal review list but remain available in the Auto-Ignored audit view. Source detection trusts the source named in the filename first, then uses report columns and transaction text as secondary validation. Mixed written-note files can still identify their individual sales channels. You can upload several files at once.

3. Payout & clearing reconciliation

Accounting-style settlement view: keep gross sales, refunds, and fees for reporting; use the final net platform amount as the real cash result; treat payouts to the bank as transfers instead of new revenue.

Bulk review: Use Select All By together with Source/Show filters to select rows by source, type/status, review state, included/ignored state, transfers, bank rows, or duplicate flags, then Include, Exclude, change their income/expense direction, or Delete Selected. Deleting only removes rows from this review list; it never deletes transactions already saved to the ledger. Accounting-style money rules: If an imported transaction has the wrong direction, use Make Expense (−) or Make Income (+). The original source data is preserved and the manual correction is recorded in the ledger audit notes. For fee-taking platforms, the final settled/net amount is the transaction value used for actual money in/out. Gross sales and platform fees remain attached to the same ledger transaction so P&L reporting still shows both. Payouts, withdrawals, settlement deposits, top-ups, and bank mirrors are clearing movements—not new revenue or expense—and are reconciled back to the detailed platform activity. Same-dollar amounts alone are never enough to combine unrelated transactions. Stripe three-row sale sets keep the row with the final settled value when available and suppress duplicate representations; distinct charge/payment IDs protect legitimate same-price sales. Ambiguous activity stays for review, and Month Close blocks when ignored mirrors could hide missing source detail.

6. Monthly P&L

Calculated from the Business Ledger for the selected month. Estimated COGS uses the locked monthly weighted inventory cost ratio already used by your ledger when available.
