What is a “3D model,” anyway?

A 3D model is the digital file a printer uses to make an object. Think of it like a blueprint. If somebody has already designed what you want, sending me that model link can make the order faster and less expensive.

PRINT AN EXISTING MODEL

I found something I want printed

Use this when you already have a link to a design. You can still write “not sure” for material, size, or color and I can help you decide.

Your email Where I can contact you about the request. What should I call this item? A simple name is fine, such as “dragon figure” or “dice storage book.” Link to the model Paste the webpage address from MakerWorld, Thingiverse, Printables, MyMiniFactory, or another model site. Tell me what you want Use normal words. Include quantity, how it will be used, or anything important about how it should look. Size / dimensions Write the size you want. Exact measurements are helpful but not required. Material If you do not know PLA, PETG, ABS, or TPU, just write what the item needs to do — for example “display only,” “sturdy,” “outdoor use,” or “soft/flexible.” Color(s) Describe the colors in everyday language. Exact filament names are not required.

Color note: I will match requested colors as closely as I reasonably can using the filament colors available to me. If an exact color is not available, I will discuss the closest option with you before the job moves forward.

This does not charge you. I will review the request first. If I can make it, I can send you a quote/invoice with the price and estimated completion time.

CUSTOM DESIGN — BEST IF YOU ONLY HAVE AN IDEA

I need help turning an idea into an item

You do not need a model file. Describe what you want as if you were explaining it to another person. Photos, examples, rough measurements, and “something like this” links are all useful.

Example: “I want a small dinosaur figure for my child, around 5 inches tall, in green and blue. It needs to be sturdy enough to be handled.” That is enough information to start a conversation.

Your email Where I can contact you with questions and, if approved, your quote/invoice. Project name Use any simple name that helps identify your request. What would you like me to make? Describe the object, what it should look like, who will use it, and what it needs to do. You do not need technical terms. Example or reference link Optional. You can paste a link to a picture, product, character reference, or similar object that helps explain the idea. Size / dimensions Write approximate or exact measurements and include units if you know them. “Fits in an adult hand” or “about 6 inches tall” is also useful. Material / how sturdy should it be? If you do not know the material name, describe the need: decorative, sturdy, heat-resistant, outdoor use, flexible, etc. Color(s) Write the colors or color combination you want. Everyday descriptions are fine. Budget range Optional. This helps me suggest an approach that fits what you want to spend. When do you need it? Optional. Write a date or general timeframe. I will confirm an estimated completion timeframe in your quote.

Important: Submitting this form is only a request. It does not guarantee the project or charge you. I will review what you sent, confirm whether I can make it, and then send a quote/invoice before production begins.

You receive a quote

If I can take the job, I send you a private quote/invoice showing the agreed item details, price, and estimated completion timeframe.

You pay before production

Once the invoice is paid, the project can move into production. If anything important changes, I will contact you.
